For more than six decades, Dragon Electronics has proudly represented world-renowned brands such as LG, Ariston, TurboAir, and Ufesa. Our legacy is built on trust, care, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality products. From our humble beginnings in Port Louis to becoming a trusted name nationwide, our journey has been guided by passion, strong partnerships, and a relentless drive to serve our customers better. Throughout the years, Dragon Electronics has remained dedicated to offering a lifetime experience—bringing quality, reliability, and value into every Mauritian home and business we serve.

A Vision Takes Root
Dragon de Chine (Electronics) was founded by our Chairman, Michel Lan Kwet Hian, G.O.S.K., at La Rue La Chaussée, Port Louis. Our very first product, the NEC Vacuum Tube Radio from Japan, marked the start of a journey to bring technology into Mauritian Homes.
The First Color TV in Mauritius
We were among the pioneers to introduce color television, transforming the way families enjoyed entertainment together.
Partnership with Ariston
Ariston appointed Dragon de Chine (Electronics) as its Sole Distributor, marking the start of a partnership that still thrives today.
Local Assembly for Mauritius
Faced with high import duties and the government's incentive, we began assembling NEC TVs from complete knock-down. Soon after, we also assembled Ariston Free Standing Cookers – making modern appliances more accessible to Mauritians.
Building the Future
Our Chairman held key meetings with SHARP and NEC in Japan. Around this same period, Michel LAN KWET HIAN purchased this property to build and enhance the bright future of Dragon de Chine (Electronics)
Partnership with LG (then Goldstar)
Dragon de Chine was appointed Sole Distributor for Goldstar, now known as LG Electronics, laying the foundation for a strong and lasting partnership.
A New Identity & Dragon House
The company evolved into Dragon Electronics. At the same time, we introduced personal computers, key telephone systems, and PABX systems in Mauritius. The completion of the Dragon House which is our current location and comprises of the Head Office, Service Centre & Warehouse was effected.

Opened the first Dragon Electronics LG Brand Shop at Bagatelle Mall, Moka – It was the second LG Brand Shop to be opened in the Sub-Saharan region, only a few days after the one at Canal Walk in Cape Town, South Africa.
Brand Shop Expansion
Second Dragon Electronics LG Brand Shop at Grand Baie La Croisette, followed by the conversion of all six existing Shops into LG Brand Shops

LG Electronics South Africa awarded Dragon Electronics as the Best Performing Distributor.
Celebrating 50 Years
